5-Run Third Lifts DuBois Past Warren Baseball

May 13, 2023

WARREN, Pa. – Tyler Chamberlin pitched six strong innings and DuBois scored five runs in the third inning without the benefit of a hit in an 11-3 win over Warren.

Rewatch the game:

Chamberlin went six innings allowing one run on six hits, striking out eight and walking none. He was also 1-for-3 at the plate, with an RBI, two walks, and three runs on his way to Allegheny Grille of Foxburg Player of the Game honors.

“My fastball was really good today,” Chamberlin said. “I was just attacking the hitters and letting the defense do the work behind me.”

Warren committed three errors in the third inning and Kaden Clark, Jordan Ell and Billy Gray all drew bases-loaded walks, chasing Warren starter Brady Berdine in the process.

Trey Wingard finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs for DuBois, while Ell was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs, Gray was 1-for-3 with two RBIs and Talon Hodge was 2-for-5 with a run.

Ben Sowa was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs for Warren.

Berdine took the loss, allowing five runs (one earned) in two-plus innings on one hit, striking out four and walking four.
