Q&A With Kylie Fehlman

D9and10Sports: How did you first get involved in sports and did you like it?
A: I started playing softball when I was 5 years old and my family always supported me through all of my sports and I absolutely loved the game. I started playing volleyball in seventh grade at first I was very hesitant and struggled but my coach saw something in me. I started at the bottom, playing every once in a while on the middle school junior varsity team. Then in 8th grade, I was a middle school varsity starter and was also asked to play with my head coach travel ball team. I started playing with 16 years old and work my way up to playing with 18-year-olds in just a few games. I knew that with a lot of hard work and determination the I would be able to be a freshmen starter, so I worked as hard as I could.

D9and10Sports: Who has been your biggest influence in life and why?
A: My biggest influence is definitely my family, my parents put a lot of time and money into my sports because they know I love it. My grandfather was and still is to this day always one of my biggest influences. He was truly a gift, he was a kind man but in high school, he was not afraid to be competitive. My grandfather always hoped that I would go far in my sports.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite high school sports memory?
A: My favorite memory from high school softball was hitting my first out-of-the-park home run and making it to a D10 playoff game. My favorite memory from high school volleyball was blocking an amazing outside hitter from Conneaut high school multiple times in a tough game.

D9and10Sports: If there was one period in history you could go back to, what would it be and why?

D9and10Sports: What is your ideal place to live? Country, City, Suburb and why?
