10 Dragons, 3 Knights Earn Boys Soccer All-Region Honors

WARREN, Pa. – Following a season that culminated in a berth in the District 10 championship, the Warren boys soccer team had 10 players earn All-Region honors.

Parks Ordiway (F), JT Blum (M), Zane Anderson (M), John Page (DM) and Jack Darling (CB) were Region 4 First-Team selections, while Alex Ferry (GK), Ian Darling (F), Wes Kiehl (M), Ricky Madril (CB) and Sean Duckett (DB) earned Second-Team honors.

The Dragons finished the year 15-1 with their lone loss to Cathedral Prep in the D10 title match. Warren outscored its opponents 96-10 on the year.

Eisenhower’s Luke Smelko (M) and Wyatt Tucker (D) were First-Team selections, while Darren Glotz (F) earned Second-Team honors.

Ordiway tied for the D10 lead in goals this season with 33. He also added seven assists. Blum finished the year with 15 goals and 11 assists. Anderson, who missed several matches due to injury, ended the year with four goals and three assists. Kiehl led the Dragons with 21 assists and chipped in six goals. Ian Darling had nine goals and was second on the team with 17 assists.

Page added four goals and 11 assists while Jack Darling had a pair of assists. Duckett had four assists and Madril netted one goal. All four were part of a stingy Dragons defense that, along with the stellar play of Ferry in net, helped Warren pitch 12 shutouts this season including a 2-0 win over General McLane in the D10 semifinals.

Smelko, Tucker and Glotz helped lead Eisenhower to an 8-6 record this season.
